BumpMesh for Fusion
A free Autodesk Fusion integration for applying BumpMesh textures to selected surfaces.
BumpMesh for Fusion brings CNC Kitchen's BumpMesh workflow into a docked Fusion panel. Select a solid body, choose the surfaces you want to texture inside BumpMesh, and save the finished mesh while the original parametric model and timeline remain untouched.
What It Adds
- BumpMesh runs in a docked panel inside Autodesk Fusion
- Send a temporary copy of one selected solid body to BumpMesh
- Keep the original Fusion body and parametric timeline unchanged
- Start in include-only mode with no surfaces selected
- Choose exactly which mesh surfaces receive texture
- Use BumpMesh's built-in displacement maps or upload a custom map
- Save the finished result as STL or 3MF through Fusion's native save dialog
- Responsive panel sizing based on the current Fusion viewport
- Installers tested with Fusion on macOS and Windows
- Local processing with no model upload to a cloud service
How It Works
Select one solid body in Fusion and run BumpMesh from the BUMPMESH panel. The integration exports a temporary high-quality mesh copy and opens it directly in the docked BumpMesh workspace.
BumpMesh begins in include-only mode with no surfaces selected, so texture is applied nowhere until you deliberately choose the surfaces you want. All of the normal BumpMesh texture, projection, masking, and depth controls remain available.
When the texture is ready, export an STL or 3MF and choose the destination through Fusion's save dialog. The textured mesh is a separate output; the original editable Fusion body is never replaced or modified.
